In a landscape with over 14 million women-owned businesses, this directory is a pivotal tool for consumers, corporations and communities actively advocating for women entrepreneurs. The idea was born from an impactful and growing social media group called Reno Women Owned Businesses.
Supporting women-owned businesses during International Women’s Month
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Earlier this week, KOLO 8 Morning Break welcomed Morgan Massie onto the show to talk about the launch of Empowered Ventures new nationwide women’s business directory.
After a successful launch party and ribbon-cutting Thursday night, fellow co-founder, Hindi Marciniak, stopped by Morning Break to expand on the benefits of supporting women-owned businesses, women-run nonprofits and women-benefited services. Women should be honored, respected and supported year-round, but during International Women’s Month it’s especially important to encourage the work of all women, whether they work, stay at home or do a hybrid of both.
